The Wisconsin Association of Peer Specialists, Inc. is revolutionizing the mental health/AODA system statewide by promoting, supporting and advocating for professional and formal Peer Supports.

 

The Wisconsin Association of Peer Specialists works in collaboration with the National Association of Peer Specialists and other organizations. 

 

The Association promotes recovery, inspires hope and encourages recovery through community education; creates a professional network of Peer Professionals and formal Peer Supports to provide employment opportunities via newsletter, website and a forum list serve; create job opportunities with fair compensation; promotes Peer Services as a career profession by defining roles and improving standards and practices; market the effectiveness of Peer Professionals/Formal Peer Supports within mental health/AODA services; protects and advocates for the rights of Pee Professionals and connects Peer Professionals statewide to build a statewide network of resources, advocacy and support.
